As our students become older, we strive to create an environment in which they are encouraged to make decisions, be more independent and be more accountable for their learning. The three middle years are viewed as an important transition from elementary to the secondary ‘Graduation Program’.
Our BCCS middle years students will continue to focus on the core competencies (communication, thinking and personal and social development) and core academic areas (English, Math, Science, Social Studies and Languages) and will have the opportunity for diversity in their learning. During these years, they will be able to explore their individual interests and aptitudes through the selection and ‘sampling’ of elective courses.
